This is the story of Miranda Beeling and her misadventures in the mythical suburb of Richland, Texas. Miranda is a recent law school grad who's grieving the death of her mother and the betrayal of her law school fiance ( a wannabe bigamist). She's lost the will to take the bar exam, and has moved back into her childhood home. There she cares for her hoarder father and tries to dig him out of his collections. She works as an underpaid, overworked law clerk for a narcoleptic attorney. Her only social outlet is playing saxophone in the Richland Community band. They're not the greatest players in the world, but they have fun, despite their dictatorial band director. The fun ends abruptly when they start dying off, and Miranda's best friend is the primary murder suspect. Miranda investigates, gets into trouble, and starts to get her life back together...But not quite according to plan. Sax and the Suburb by Marilyn Rucker is available on ebook at http://amzn.to/w1PUgR Find out more about this book and the author's humorous musical c.d.'s at http://www.marilynrucker.com/home.cfm The music for the trailer is also by Marilyn Rucker and is available as an MP3 at http://bit.ly/wXJyKs
