(Now see me typing at 152 WPM four years later: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQeXcK... )

How did this get 27,000 views? Don't you all have something better to do? :-D

Sorry about the cruddy accuracy! I take my new keyboard for a spin on Typingtest.com. Plenty of errors and not my best result (I made 133 earlier today), but I'm still thankful for what I got.

My 3 ingredients to successful typing:
1--Prayer-to keep in perspective
2--The DVORAK key layout; with the vowels on one side and the consonants on the other, it makes typing much easier (and safer, even!)
3--A buckling spring "Unicomp Spacesaver" keyboard. The spring-loaded keys rebound much faster than do modern "rubber dome" keyboards, a great asset in speed typing.
4-Practice. I spend a lot of time at the computer desk.

Again--my typing might not be on par with some of the Youtube elites, but at least you get to see a nifty keyboard.
