Gameplay from the beginning of the game including menus, combat against several crafts, docking etc. I made many long and short cuts in repetitive parts (including combat).
The game has always been a bit of a chore to play, since it's not possible to SPEED UP TIME and usually intersystem jumps are intercepted. Second jump may not be possible for a reason or another and it may take forever to reach a space station. If combat lasts long enough, more pirates come to join in, especially when holding valuable cargo. It takes long enough to reach a station even without combat along the way. Player is sometimes sucked into "Thargoid Space" from which it might not be possible to escape alive. In the second part I got killed while I took a 3min break without pausing the game since it was supposed to be idle flying.
One should consider what cargo he want's to buy and sell, then select an appropriate system based on best trade income, but this may not be very easy to figure out in the beginning. One way to collect money is by practicing combat against pirates and Thargoids, but bounty isn't great for the effort. As a kid I played this game up to the point where I had at least docking computer, extended cargo bay and better primary weapons.
