Representative Thaddeus McCotter (MI) took to the House Floor to address the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which is a potential multi-lateral Free Trade Agreement with a number of Pacific countries (Australia, Chile, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Brunei). The Michigan Representative calls on Japan to end non-tariff trade barriers and currency manipulation before being allowed in the Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations.
