Hello, we are the independent game developer team "Brain Connected" from Bremen, Germany. We made one of the Top 10 games of the Global Game Jam 2011 called Somyeol2D. That motivated us to continue our work and now we are nearly finished with the successor Somyeol for iPhone and, hopefully, Android.
The game is about the Somyeols, an almost extinct species from Greensland, but since their home planet was blown up, they are scattered all over the universe. The objective of the game is to reach the goal (a rocket which brings the somyeols home) with as many of them as possible in short time. That is not as easy as it sounds, because the game features different Somyeols with different abilities which are all controlled at the same time.
The game is nearly finished and we will release it for iPhone in December 2011. We had in mind to release it also for Android and we already have our game working on it, but because of license fees we need to pay - we don't have much money because we are students - we can't release for it now. We are using the Marmalade SDK and we need at least ~300$ +VAT to make an Android release happen.
We are also working on a map editor for pc and we have the ability to test the maps with it before uploading them to the device. To make the editor useful we have to obtain the standard license, which lets us build Somyeol for PC, so you have the possibility to test the maps you created. This will cost us ~1000$ + VAT. The 1000$ license will also make it possible to deploy to more devices than iPhone and Android like the BlackBerry Playbook or Bada.
