Project Description:
Boombottle is a portable speaker system built into a HDPE container. They are rugged yet has a big internal volume, which makes it a nice speaker enclosure. After assembled with the electronic parts, it become a weatherproof, glow in the dark speaker, great for playing and sharing music outdoor.

One message I wanted to spread through this project is to encourage people to give a second though on their waste objects. During the project and talking with peoples with the end product, i have noticed that the Boombottle isn't just made an impression with its material usage, the aesthetic of which a plastic container with a handle is put together with a speaker drive catches a lot of their attention too. So far a few dozens of units has been made and sold, customers often come back with more orders for their friends or telling how much attentions they have got when bringing out and using their Boombottles. All these weren't expected when the project first started and i hope the message carry out by the product will continue to spread.

Because the form of the Boombottle is shaped by a HDPE bottle which have been using as a container for decades. The transformation from a container into portable audio system is so unique, making the appearance of the product can hardly get old.
