Vajta, the winner of 1981, made a comeback on the Split Song Festival's stage in 1984, but did not make it to the finals. 36 songs in the main competition, 18 made it to the finals. 31 of the songs were released on the compilation by Jugoton, and 4 on the one by PGP RTB.
Seid Memić, known by his stage name Vajta, is a Bosnian singer and the vocalist of the Yugoslav rock band Teška industrija. From 1975 to 1976 Vajta was a vocalist for Teška industrija with great commercial success throughout the Balkan countries but later dissolved.
He became popular in the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest during which he represented Yugoslavia. He achieved 15th place for Yugoslavia with the song "Lejla", which became a hit in former Yugoslavia. He won many festival awards during 1980s. In early 2007, Teška industrija has reunited with the release of a new album. In 2009, Vajta attained popularity by participating in the Croatian reality TV show Farma.
