The Pixie QRP transceiver kit is super-cheap but comes with some performance compromises. This video discusses crystal and ceramic resonator VXO circuits to add frequency agility and make contacts easier. Coverage of the SSB portion of the band also makes it an attractive receiver costing under $20 for the kit plus extra parts needed.
