Ive got to do titration
Of an unknown base
Got to wear my goggles
So I dont splash my face
Ill use a good acid
Of known molarity
Fill those burets up
Then well surely see

But I got a problem
Which indicator should I use?
There are so many I can choose from
Ive got the bromthymol blues

Theres methyl orange
Turns at pH 4
Makes it kinda useless
Chuck it out the door
And then theres litmus
One we could choose
But the change in color
Much too gradual to use

When I do titration
Which indicator should I use?
I dont know which one to choose from
Ive got the bromthymol blues

Could use phenolphthalein
Turns from clear to pink
The color change is sudden
So I dont have to think
But theres a slight problem
Color change at pH 8
But it will serve quite nicely
And help you to graduate

Hey, I know right now
Which indicators I could use!
The best of those that I could choose from
Phenolphthalein or bromthymol blue!!!
