Could someone tell me why NOT to consider this as a first time handgun? Just curious, but the more videos I watch of these guns the more it ends up on my "Must Own" gun bucket list. I've yet to shoot one of course.

Love your vids Sootch. The CZ-75 is great, I have the SP-01 and it's one of the best pistols every made. BTW, CZ stands for Ceska zbrojovka, which is the gun manufacture located in the Czech Republic

Huh?, my first CZ was made in the old Czechoslovakia, and getting one back then was a real chore, with all the intermittent trade embargo sanctions. I just bought one of the 75Bs in .40 S&W. Mean looking, wicked accurate, super well made, awesome shooting guns! I bought my 40 at the police auction, $400 with 4 extra MecGar magazines. The new Sphinx production guns look like a CZ inspired gun, for sure. I was hoping for a complete tear down to the last pin, not a field strip. Oh well.

I like how the slide is recessed a bit into the frame..I would like to see that design in some newer polymer framed guns we all love, like glock, sig, khar, springfield, ect...great vid!

@battery77 The others are right. Try going to a gun show or large gun store and picking up the various pistols to see what is most comfortable for you. Once you determine that, then you can decide on caliber depending on self defense or just target practice. All of these "automatic" pistols that ordinary people in the states have access to are going to be semiauto, even though they are marketed as automatic, they are only automatic in self reloading. you still have to pull the trigger each time

@jntroisi What kind of competition shooting are you looking into?
