Hi, glad to meet you today.

What I'm holding in my hand is the mask which has been quite familiar recently.

We used this mask to bypass the A.I. technology used in iPhone X's Face ID.

This version took us around 9-10 hours to trick Face ID's A.I. It proved the principle that a mask can unlock iPhoneX’s Face ID.

Today, we have a new mask. This mask is based on the concept and principles of the first version. It is crafted based on the previous PoC (Proof of Concept).

And it is made by a 3D printer, using stone powder, the eyes are 2D infrared images glued on the 3D model.

And today, let’s see whether this mask can unlock this iPhone X in my hand. Now, let’s see.

First, I gonna reset, delete current Face ID data on this iPhone X. And, before I delete Face ID data, you can see that the 2 advanced security options of Face ID are both enabled.

I delete current Face ID and enroll my face as the new owner’s one.

I gonna try unlocking this phone with my face. And, of course, it opens easily.

Then, let’s see whether this mask can unlock the iPhone X in my hand.

As you can see, the lock is now opened, so easy.

Now, we can see that this mask has unlocked the iPhone X in my hand, in the same way that twins unlocked iPhone X.

This mask and me, like twins. We call this mask “the artificial twin”.

In field of cyber security, this is not secured and we have to raise the security severity level of Face ID.

Which means it is not secured for all of us to use Face ID in business transactions, instead of just not suitable for VIP as we warned previously.

Thank you !
