Watch and share this hand-edited time-lapse movie, documenting the Washington Monument restoration. On August 23, 2011, a 5.8-magnitude earthquake forced the Washington Monument to close and EarthCam was on hand to document and time-lapse the process where crews worked tirelessly to restore this national treasure. Thousands of images were captured from March 2013 to April 2014 and were expertly edited into this 80-second movie.
