In this very rare interview Noam Chomsky and Gore Vidal discuss the intricacies of the gulf war, the Bush administration and the economic and geopolitical situation of the US at the time. It has fallen into my hands after extensive research. It was taped in 1991 shortly after the end of the war but was never broadcast.
Gore Vidal refered to this particular talk with Chomsky in an "In Depth" interview with C-SPAN on October 1, 2000 noting the fact that the entire mainstream media refused to air it as an example of his and Chomsky's marginalisation.
The interview is conducted by the writer and academic Jay Parini. I apologize for the rather shoddy quality.
