Nightfall and a big drop in temperature bring on the blade work to creat a fire. Several are shown in testing and all do excellent. With a fire pit dug in the snow, I come up with an innovative way to grill the grouse...uh I mean chicken. Allie the Moutain is always by my side. We trapse around in the night for firewood and supplies...and find both. The wilderness griddle works great...right up until a repositioning maneuver goes south on me (standard). Allie once again proves how gross dogs can be as she unloads her dinner by the fire. Ugh, glad I have a shovel. Clean up time passes quickly as we get down to chatting about some TNP issues, some great mountain chow (awesome vittles!), and then hunker down for a cold night in the tent.

You seriously need to start doing these backpacking series again!
When food falls in the dirt or firs it's called "Mountain Seasoning", after a long day in the woods it tastes good.

"You guys bored yet?!?" Nope - this is the life MEN want. Unfortunately the USAF has too many of us locked in cubicles in urban areas inside a beltway... Keep living the life and showing us how to get 'er done!
22:10 did you just "nice" your own fart, Nutn? lol

I just watched this AGAIN.. for like the 12th time.. all time fav.
Thanks for taking the time and making the effort to do the adventure videos.
Hey Nutn!! Been a viewer for a little over a year now and live the vids. Doing outdoor adventures is something that I never got to do as a kid because it was not something that my father was into. However, I want to start doing some camping and adventures with my kids. I figured for our first trip, we would stay over night at one of our local lakes. However, since this will be our first time doing this, we have no gear and have no idea where to start. All we have is a Sog-fari machete, Sog Tech Bowie and a couple of folders. And of course my carry gun. What else do we need? And if you can, start with the most obvious. Nothing is too obvious for us. Thanks!!! BGCoop
