The Importance of the Historical Adam (Genesis 1:26-31; 2:7), a special lecture by Rev. Arie den Hartog. What is the significance of that man who was created good and perfect, in the image of God, as the covenant head and father of the whole human race? Is Adam only mentioned in the first three chapters of Genesis or is he spoken of in other places throughout the Bible? What is his relevance (doctrinally and practically) for us and our children? How does what one believes about Adam affect the truth of Scripture, man, the image of God, marriage, the fall, the universality of sin, God's covenant, Jesus Christ and His cross, and the resurrection from the dead? How does what one believes about Adam affect churches today?
