Welcome to "The Scholars" a television interview series that explores contemporary scholarship. We hope to engage and challenge your thinking on broad range of topics. You will meet a diverse group of scholars who are investigating and thinking about our complex and changing world. This show will explore social policy and juvenile justice. Ana Jara is scholar, activist, and community organizer. She is the Co-Director for Anacostia High School Public Service Program. The Program is a project of The George Washington University Center for Student Engagement which seeks to provide opportunities for Anacostia high school students with an interest in public service, leadership, politics, and community development to be exposed to potential college and career paths, and to receive tutoring and mentoring support.
