This film was made using a Swiss-made Bolex H-16 film camera on 16mm Kodak B/W reversal film. It was filmed for a class I have in college here in Boston. I filmed at the New England Holocaust Memorial, located near Downtown Crossing and next to Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. It's a truly beautiful memorial, and, despite its cause, to remind people of the atrocities which occurred at six of the Nazi death camps during the Holocaust, it is one of my favorite places. I don't really see it as an overwhelmingly sad place, like many do, but as more a place of remembrance.
When I transferred this from film to digital DV format, I was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED by the loss of quality. I kid you not, I lost about 60-70% of the quality in the transfer process. I am extremely sad and disappointed. It was almost not worth posting but as it is my first student film and my first film to upload to YouTube, I figured I couldn't NOT do it. So, enjoy!
