This April 9, 2014 video (which has no narration) was produced by Andrew Jones of URS for Triangle Transit to help viewers and future riders visualize a light rail transit project proposed for a 17-mile corridor stretching from Chapel Hill to Durham, North Carolina. The project is entering the Draft Environmental Impact Statement phase in late 2013 and should be constructed between 2019 and 2026, pending approvals and funding. Production of the video involved the use of Google Earth's virtual tour capabilities along with 3D models created in 3DS Max Design and Autocad.

OurTransitFuture welcomes comments about the proposed alternatives in the project. Please submit comment for the record at http://ourtransitfuture.com/wp-conten... Your comment will be considered during the Draft EIS phase and may be responded to within 3 days of receipt and/or in the DEIS document.
