It's funny you should say that, because Jeff's friends said that Penn has almost the same aura that Jeff had.

Penn has done an amazing job performing Jeff's work. Voice is beautiful. Imo, for looks, I would've have picked Ben Whishaw, but unsure about his voice for the role.

Its not "just about the voice" There's an aura about Jeff, a "vibe" about Jeff that I think Penn failed to capture, especially in this performance. For what its worth, I never saw Jeff sway like that while singing...

Huge Buckley fan here. I watched the film the other night and I loved it. He captures Jeff's personality very well (what we know of Jeff) and does look like him if you open your mind a little. I really thought it was great. He may speak an octave lower but he really surprised me here.
