This practice aims to relieve discomfort in the back of the neck and the tops of the shoulders. It will also teach you how to maintain more ease and freedom in this targeted area by reversing the iHunch or iPosture.
Our modern lives have us hunched forward so often that the muscles in the front of the chest become super tight as well as the muscles at the back of the neck and tops of the shoulders. All this rounding in the back body also means the muscles that support the shoulder blades tend to be overstretched and weak. This means most of us need both strength & length in the neck & shoulders, and a little awareness in where our heavy head is positioned can also go a loooooong way.
As always, don't take my word for it. Give it a go and then you'll know. If you benefit from the practice then it's yours to return to whenever you need it most.
