I've always considered croissants to be extremely difficult to make, but was prompted to have a go by a request from a viewer. And my croissants turned out amazingly well for a first attempt. The croissants were light, crispy, flaky, buttery and totally delicious. I based my recipe on one from http://www.weekendbakery.com/posts/cl... (thanks guys!). And actually, making croissants isn't difficult, it just requires lots of time, patience and measuring. But the result is well worth it - you've probably never had croissants this good before.
