A horse unraced at two had his final Kentucky Derby workout on Friday at Santa Anita Park while last year's champion two-year-old male had his final preparation on Saturday at Churchill Downs.
The former is likely Derby favorite Justify, who is attempting to become the first horse since Apollo in 1882 to win the roses without having raced as a two-year-old--an issue that does not concern veteran clocker Gary Young.
The latter is Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner Good Magic, who is generating some buzz as one of the better-looking three-year-olds coming into the Kentucky Derby.
Young discusses them both as well as workouts from My Boy Jack, Flameaway and for the Kentucky Oaks, Monomoy Girl and Sassy Sienna for trainer Brad Cox.
