CAN is a broadcast based protocol, every device on the network can see any data that is received or sent. This leaves the chair vulnerable to unknown devices being hooked up, and it just takes seconds to do for a chair user or a malicious person. This can be a faster way to attack than trying to find exploits for the existing.
