Mac OS X 10.6, 10.6.1, 10.6.2, 10.6.3 users (Snow Leopard) this is the fix for the blinking menu bar (right hand corner). Just go to System Preferences, MobileMe, Sync, then unclick the box for "Show status in menu bar". This problem began when I tried to fix the Mac OS X problems that began when I upgraded to 10.6.3. I tried to fix those problems by reinstalling the original version of Snow Leopard. The downgrade fixed most of the speed/ internet problems but it also introduced the menu bar blinking problem. So now I have the fix for the menu bar blinking problem, but still am looking for a glitch-free 10.6.3 experience! I see that Apple just released 10.6.4, so hopefully that will fix everything and not make it worse.
