Funded by the re-sale of some Euro's I had tucked away in a draw, I was really lucky this year to be able to take a short holiday to Shropshire. With little chance of any work coming my way in the forseeable future, I thought it best to 'cash -in' my stash of Euro's and use the money to allow myself to get away from it all for a while.
Contrary to what a lot of people believe, you need a break from unemployment and disappointment as much as you do from work and to see somewhere new and chill out for a bit did take the pressure off me and has made me feel more positive on my return so I reckon it was money well spent.
In this first part of my holiday video, you can see footage of the town of Ironbridge, the famous Iron Bridge there and the first installment of my visit to 'Blists Hill' - a living Victorian Museum. Keep watching, as there are plenty of sights and surprises along the way and if you like the 'old days' and the countryside you are sure to have fun.
There will be more of 'Blists Hill' in part two (amongst other things!).
