Dr Paul Stock is Associate Professor of Early Modern International History 1500-1850 at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and was previously a British Academy Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Intellectual History at the same institution. His publications include The Shelley-Byron Circle and the Idea of Europe (2010) and The Uses of Space in Early Modern History (editor, 2015) as well as articles in European Review of History, Modern Intellectual History, and The English Historical Review. He is currently writing a book about popular British ideas of Europe in the period 1760-1830.
