Flies are commercially tied #18 adams

Control means just that, no treatment was applied to the fly, just tested as is

Floatant means that a commercial floatant was applied to the fly. In this case, the floatant was allowed to dry for 1 hr which should improve its performance versus a field application

SHP means Neverwet Superhydrophobic Treatment. A light coating was applied to the two flies. They were dried for 30 min between base and top coats, and another 30 min before any testing.

All observations were generally repeatable.
