SUMMARY:
-----------------

It’s time for another tie knot invention: The Duke Knot. I remember watching another tie guru online with his invented “Stacked Onassis” knot (Thank you, Alex Krasny). That tie, along with this one, derives its uniqueness from folding over the tail end of the tie. After watching him, I was inspired to try that move with a Windsor knot. The rest is history, as they say, and I’m showing the secret behind this deceptively-simple necktie knot.

How to tie it? Simply put, if you know how to tie a Windsor necktie, you can tie the Duke knot. As you will see (or did see) in the video, the trick is to flip the tail end of the tie over-and-through the main knot. Don’t dimple the front end as much as usual, though. You could end up with the folded tail sticking out; not a good look at all. Once the tail end is all the way through, you can dimple as you normally would, giving you a unique look that will make many do a double take. Any tie or pattern will work with this knot, just like a Windsor knot would.

ABOUT FRUGAL FELLOWS FASHION
---------------------------------------------------------

Frugal Fellows Fashion was created to show men that they don’t have to spend $1,000 for a good suit or $300 for the perfect cologne. Those are well and good, but not all men are in a financial position to be able to do that. You can look good shopping for bargains. Clearance tags and “final sales” are opportunities to stretch your dollar further.

Focus on style, not fashion. Trends come and go, but looking good doesn't depend on “trendy”. Solid, quality pieces will ALWAYS be in style. Things that fit well will ALWAYS be in style. Find things that fit your personality and fit your body and you can’t go wrong.

Other things we’ll discuss here are how to treat your lady right, how to get ahead in your career without being a “yes-man”, and how to budget without being bound by money. The time to struggle to make an impression is over. We can change ourselves from the inside out and become the strong, confident adults we were meant to be.
