This exercise video in Chinese by Groovi Pauli & Friends is meant to get you up and moving! They use actions and movement to teach Chinese words/phrases. In language teaching, this approach is known as TPR (Total Physical Response). The target audience is young learners of Chinese and we use a call and response format in this song, where the kids repeat the phrases Groovi Pauli says. We hope you enjoy moving to this video!

动, 动, 动起来!(dòng dòng dòng qǐ lái) Move, move, get up and move!
不要懒惰 (bú yào lǎn duò) Don't be lazy.
动动身体 (dòng dòng shēn tǐ) Move your body.
身体健康!(shēn tǐ jiàn kāng) Good health.




把手举起来 (bǎ shǒu jǔ qǐ lái) Put your hands up.
把手动一动 (bǎ shǒu dòng yī dòng) Move your hands.
把手放下来 (bǎ shǒu fàng xià lái) Bring your hands down.
把脚动一动 (bǎ jiǎo dòng yī dòng) Move your legs.
身体向右转 (shēn tǐ xiàng yòu zhuǎn) Turn your body to the right.
身体向左转 (shēn tǐ xiàng zuǒ zhuǎn) Turn your body to the left.
身体扭一扭 (shēn tǐ niǔ yī niǔ) Wiggle your body.

慢慢走 (màn màn zǒu) Walk slowly.
快快走 (kuài kuài zǒu) Walk quickly.
慢慢跳 (màn màn tiào) Jump slowly.
快快跳 (kuài kuài tiào) Jump quickly.

拍拍肩膀 (pāi pāi jiān bǎng) Pat your shoulders.




拍拍头 (pāi pāi tóu) Pat your head.
拍拍肚子 (pāi pāi dù zi) Pat your tummy.
停!(tíng) Stop!

哦?不错啊!(é? bú cuò ā) Eh? Not bad, huh?
谢谢啊。 (xiè xie ā) Thanks
