Comet C/2012 K5 Linear [sorry for typo C/2013 in vid caption] buzzes a double star HD29196 in Taurus below the Hyades on evening of 2013 Jan 11 as seen from my backyard in London. Images via my Meade 30cm SCT telescope with Starlight Xpress Lodestar-C camera in 30sec exposures over half an hour. The comet passes close [an appulse] to the star but the comet may have occulted [covered] the star briefly in the Americas ! During such rare event it's possible to decode the comet's make-up in the star's light via a spectroscope.
