Williams Blackout 1980 pinball. http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=317
Design: Claude Fernandez
Art: Constantino Mitchell
Sound: WMS Sound Rom #2 with programming by Eugene Jarvis

Game number of Blackout is #495. Interesting that it was released later in the same year as Firepower which is game #497. Blackout was only a single ball game with an eject hole and two 3-banks of drop targets. Firepower replaced the two 3-banks of drop targets with 6 standup targets in production.

Almost completed my restore:
1. Replaced coin door with a better one. Operator had drilled for hasp.
2. Fixed system boards: MPU, Driver Board, Sound and Speech, Master Display Board all were replaced or repaired. About the only original parts now in the backbox are the Transfomer and the PSU board!
3. Cleaned and rebuilt the playfield, as it was in bits with most missing parts found in the coin box. Not much wrong actually for a game that been unused for years. I rebuilt the flippers, adjusted targets and replaced any lights that were out. Lucky that all the plastics were with the game and unbroken. Some missing paint around inserts (normal wear) and somw planking on the lower playfield. Backglass shows crazing as is usual for this era of games.
