SEAPerch Underwater Robot Competition

On April 26th, Prince William County School System had their SEAPerch competition at George Mason University in Fairfax Virginia.

This video shows the three phases of the competition: Maneuvering, Recovery and TeamWork.

A colleague and I spent the day at the competition, watching and learning how the kids liked this experiment in building underwater Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs).

We were not affiliated with any of the groups involved. We hope to bring a simmilar activity to Garrett County MD.

There were a wide variety of ROV designs in evidence, and everyone seemed to be having a good time.
