Baby Boy 2 in the near future? Taraji P. Henson & Tyrese Gibson dish on a sequel to the cult classic.

More Info:
"It's a crazy, dysfunctional love story set in the hood."- John Singleton
John (Singleton) also says it's an original script he's written, and it will indeed be his next project.

Aug.2012: John made a few changes to the script at Taraji's request & as of right now both Tyrese & Taraji have the re-written script.

My thoughts:
With "dysfunctional love story set in the hood" and Tyrese & Taraji as the leads one would think Jody & Yvette almost instantly with these two. The question is should they really do a "hood" movie at this point in their career's? and If the couple they're playing is anything like Jody & anything like Yvette, then this new movie might as well be a sequel. Now I'm not against "hood" movies at all, in fact I love them & John is amazing at writing them. But wouldnt you rather see Tyrese & Taraji together on film in a different setting, in a different environment & under different circumstances? I can't give a full opinion on something that little to no detail is out about but just from that small detail alone these are my thoughts & concerns. Having said all of that, me personally I'm glad they're FINALLY doing another movie together as love interest. It's been nearly 12 years since Baby Boy. And although they did Four Brothers together in 2005, they werent a couple in it (Even though at first they were going to be). These two have a onscreen chemistry that is unmatched! There's a big audience & their core fans waiting to fill the theaters seats & support, so we can't wait!
