Jenny Lind (1820-1887) and Rudolf Walin (1820-1868) was working at the same time at the Royal Opera in Stockholm and they were also good friends. Jenny Lind was swedens first music-superstar and she sang over the whole world, especially in USA she done a huge succé.

She studied music 1841 in Paris for Manuel Garcia - same teacher that Rudolf later had in 1849. When she was touring in USA 1852 she married her pianist: Otto Goldsmidt, after the marriage they moved to Great Britain where she lived to her death.

In a letter she once write that the Royal Opera in Stockholm was depended on Rudolf Walin! - Rudolf was my mothers mothers mothers father.

Was Rudolf Walin a secret son to the Swedish king: Karl XIV Johan? This exciting problem are now discussed over the whole world...in USA, India, Italy, Great Britain...and so on. Only DNA can solve the mystery!

The consert pic is from USA there she gave large conserts. The statue of her (last pic) is placed in Djurgården (Stockholm).

There should been a new musical in USA about Jenny Lind an her life...Anne Hathaway shall play a main role in it, really interesting.

Music: Daniel Fallström sings "Evening mood" (Aftonstämning) by August Körling.
