Children from Oakura School in New Zealand planted a Puriri tree to mark today's United Nations World Peace Day celebrations. By the time the earth has completely turned on its axis children from more than 5000 schools in 150 countries will have planted several hundred thousand trees. Following the sun, new trees will be put to earth in Oceania, Asia, Europe, Africa and finally this chain of trees will reach the Americas. Oakura School has be targeted to be the first school in the world to participate.
