Arie van 't Riet studied radiation physics at Delft University of Technology and obtained his PhD from Utrecht University. He was registered as a medical physicist and worked in the departments of radiotherapy, radiology and nuclear medicine. In the hospital he experienced the amazing progress of image quality and the introduction of new imaging modalities in the last decades.
At TEDxGroningen 2013, he explains how he discovered his artistic drive through the use of his x-ray machine, helping him reveal the beauty inside of nature.
