Hailing from Marblehead, Massachusetts, the Okommakamesit #2 in competition at the Woolwich, Maine Fireman's Muster. This event is held under the auspices of the New England States Veteran Fireman's League. Antique hand tub mustering is the oldest continuously held sport in the United States. The crew is trying to achieve the longest stream of water in their class. All of the ten machines in this muster were built in the mid-1800s. This sport is an awesome blend of competition, historic preservation, mechanics, and fraternity. The Oko is in the A Class, and while we didn't do so well in Woolwich, we had a lot of fun and helped keep a great old tradition going into the 21st century!
