"Two members of the punk band Pussy Riot have fled Russia to avoid prosecution for a protest against Vladimir Putin that sent three of their band mates to prison, the group said Sunday. Five members of the feminist group took part in a provocative performance inside Moscow's main cathedral in February to protest the Russian leader's rule and his cozy relationship with the Orthodox Church. The women wore their trademark garishly colored balaclavas, which made it difficult for police to identify them, and only three were arrested. After a controversial trial that highlighted Putin's crackdown on dissent since he began a third presidential term in May, the three band members were convicted of hooliganism and sentenced to two years in prison...".* Ana Kasparian and John Iadarola (host of TYT University, and Common Room) break it down.

Russia isn't USSR anymore, idiot. Besides, durring USSR people were still religious, they just weren't allowed to express it.
Odd how rarely people point out the name Pussy Riot. Imagine if there were a British band called Fanny Riot.

The problem with pussy riot case is many. #1 Corruption: Justice system where Putin commentates the system. Defenders where not able to prepare the case.
One of their members had SEX in public pregnant you can see it on xvideos
When did they offer him the oppurtunity and you did not answer my questions.
Dnt Wry
It's a warrant for questioning not for prosecution. If the purpose of the warrant was to question him, WHY DID THEY NOT QUESTION HIM when they were offered the opportunity?
Should they treat him special just because he´s famous?
There was no "Protest"- The thing that the media in the west consistently left out, was that "Putin" his name, is not even screamed out in the original video. It was added in later on the video that was uploaded. You would think they would scream his name out instead of "Lords Shi*t* in the church.
riots over pussy, russia, come on.... dont you got bigger fish to fry.
