Here is part four of Peter's favorite year at his favorite festival for years... The first appearance of Peter, outside of California, performing with a blues band was at the Lawn Party in NC. Marilyn Ingram, the Executive Director of The LAAC, first brought in a blues band to back Peter at the 1998 festival. Peter loved it and couldn't say enough about how much fun he had and asking, "again next year?" After '98, in addition to professional sound, James Lee Stanley, the Torkwenches on some of his solo BV's and his sometimes opening act, an organ or 8 1/2 foot grand piano, Ms. Ingram brought in a great blues band so Peter could perform the acoustic solo, duo and do his finale fronting the band. She has been quoted as having said "I had him doing everything except reciting from Hamlet." Tork, upon hearing the quote, informed Ingram that he could indeed recite from Hamlet - which cracked her up at the time.
