WHAT: The central character of "Po'Boys Kitchen" is a corner store restaurant named Po'Boys Kitchen, a black-owned business located in the heart of Richmond. The daily drama of life in Po'Boys includes the homeless, the prostitutes, the drug dealers, the crack addicts, as well as neighborhood families. Some come for Po'Boys' signature butter-me-up-cornbread and Big Mama's southern lemonade; some stop in to talk trash, crack jokes, or gossip about daily news. Some come seeking wisdom and redemption, a clean slate where they can re-write themselves. Will they find the courage to transform their future or will the ghosts of their past pull them back? For most people, Po'Boys is more than a convenience store, but a place that saves lives.
