Catching, cleaning and cooking an octopus! The locals are probably laughing at us because they catch bigger octopus all the time, but we were really happy with a tako this size! They are way harder to catch than it looks. You can be holding their tentacle tightly one moment and in an instant, they shrink that tentacle to the width of a pencil and slip away! I'm not really sure what I think about that recipe. The octopus was super tender which was a victory and the wasabi and soy tasted amazing, but the flavor of the octopus was only average. I think next time I am going to put a lot more of each seasoning in the water and I bet that makes it perfect!
