1st there was Tom Jones then came Engelbert Humperdinck followed by Leapy Lee and finally Gilbert O'Sullivan. Leapy Lee had one hit, "Little Arrows". This was the follow up to that single. It got airplay but failed to crack the top 40. I don't know why because it is a great song. It was written by Les Reed and Barry Mason who penned many of Tom Jones' and Engelbert's hits. This song sounds a bit like their Engelbert composition, "Les Bicyclettes De Belsize". The B side to this record is the Gordon Mills composition "I'm Gonna Send My Love" which is another title for the Engelbert B side, "Three Little Words". (Ironically the B side to "Bicyclettes") As far as I know this song never made it to an LP. Leapy Lee only had one LP ("Little Arrows") which I own. On that LP he also covers the song "My Girl Maria" which was also recorded by Tom on his "Help Yourself" LP If you all like this post, I'll post more Leapy Lee. Let me know. ENJOY!!
