The University of Cincinnati Campus Recreation Center is more than just a place to work out on campus. It's a social avenue where students can escape the pressure of class and work to express themselves in the weight room, on the courts or in their favorite fitness class. It's also a place where students go to meet new people, bond with friends, find themselves and grow as individuals. Committed to capturing the true spirit of this campus hotspot, Coordinator of Fitness and Wellness Brandi Hester developed the concept of creating a cutting-edge music video that students could upload onto their smart phones, view on Youtube and even download on iTunes.

The talent required for this special project included two of CRC's very own Fitness Floor Coordinators, Oni Nwamu and Carlton "CJ" Fowlkes. Both Oni and CJ are members of the hip-hop music group IGWE which means "King or Boss" in their native country Nigeria. When Brandi approached Oni with the idea of creating a song and video to promote Campus Recreation, he quickly took on the challenge with enthusiasm and creativity. Creating a vision, he assumed responsibility for nearly every aspect of the project from writing the lyrics, producing the beat, to directing the music video that was shot by student videographer Dan Drachman. Oni, CJ, and Oni's brother Udo Nwamu make up the trio IGWE which has been performing in the Cincinnati area for the past two years and recently performed with Wale.
