When Vito Fossella first announced that he'd not be running for re-election the list of possible replacements read like an All-Star lineup of Staten Island Republicans. But one by one, they all withdrew their names from consideration. Last week, the party endorsed Frank Powers, an MTA board member and former Wall Street broker. He's well known in Republican circles but is a relative unknown to the general public. So, Councilman Vincent Ignizio outlines the process for us with Tom Wrobleski.
