The MIT Game Lab is proud to present OpenRelativity, a set of open-source tools for simulating the effects of Einstein's special relativity in Unity3D. We hope that this toolkit will be used by developers and educators to produce more simulations and games that explore the effects of special relativity and traveling close to the speed of light. OpenRelativity accurately simulates the effects of the Lorentz Contraction, Doppler Effect, Time Dilation, and includes support for dynamic speeds of light, custom UV and IR textures, and third-party objects.
