Austro Water Tech’s Filter Press After passing through the Primary and Secondary Treatment stages, the sludge is treated separately to recover the last drop of water.A filter press is a piece of batch operation with a fixed volume equipment installed after considering the ZLD Treatment Plant’s output criteria. Using Pressure Filtration technology, the Filter Press separates liquids and solids. The sludge in the form of slurry is pumped into the filter press and the remaining water is recovered. Solids build on the cloth of the filter and water is squeezed out of the filter using high amount of pressure. Recovered water is recycled back for use in the process.
