Ganguro falls into the larger subculture of gyaru (from English "gal"). Blonde, tan, etc. although it literally means "blackface". Manba [マンバ] is a subsect of Ganguro that features a darker tan and white concealer both over and under the eyes (as opposed to simply over the eye, as in the Yamanba [ヤマンバ] styles). This clips takes the "black face" English gal to an extreme conclusion.
