Fremantle Mayor, Brad Pettitt speaks about the City’s involvement with the Sculpture gift – Nagasaki Peace Park project and the City’s role as lead city for Mayors for Peace Australia.

The sculpture project was inspired as a contribution to the peace-related activities that took place in Nagasaki and Hiroshima during the 70-year commemoration of the atomic bombings in Japan.

The design of the sculpture will feature an indigenous–inspired theme. The official gifting and unveiling of the sculpture is planned for April 2016.
