Celestron goto telescopes that use NexStar have a feature called Precise Goto which is way more accurate than "regular" goto. If you want to find a faint object like Neptune or a galaxy such as M51 then you probably would like it to be centered in the eyepiece after the goto. With Precise Goto you can do this.

Visit Cloudy Nights. They have a very active NexStar forum where you can get answers to any NexStar question, usually within just a few hours.

For more accurate gotos use an eyepiece that has a crosshair reticle.
