Lance wanted to challenge himself at the 24 HR Comics Day, and asked if Ichiro Films could do a video on it. In fact, Lance did a video on the very first challenge in Singapore 5 years ago, links at the bottom.
So we took it up, partially as a challenge, but partially because the 24 HR Comics Day mission resonated with what we were doing with Perspectives. After all, comics is another medium for storytelling, much like what we do, and with our Perspectives series, we seek to understand artists, which the participants are.
So it was a 24 hours coverage, 24 hours same day edit, and now the 24 hours documentary! (Kidding! It's only about 17 minutes long!)
After hours of post production work, this version is probably still two more working days from being complete, but we felt that completing it is more important than fine-tuning. As it is, this is already a milestone for us, a complete mini-documentary from Ichiro Films! Hooray!
Special thanks to JF Koh and Chris Shaw for organizing such a great event and for inviting us, and to Benjamin, MaryAnn, Clio, Yvonne and the other participants like Gene and Wayne for being excellent sports, and allowing us to be a part of your story!
